Columbus

|
The main metro area in central Ohio that is the state capital and home to the OSU Buckeyes, the Bluejackets hockey team, and numerous corporate headquarters. Located in Franklin County, it is disected north-to-south by I-71, and east-to-west by I-70. I-270 is an outerbelt that surrounds the city. Columbus is often described as a large city with a small town feel. Commutes are easy compared to other large cities, although locals sometimes complain during rush hour, but congestion is nothing compared to much larger metro areas. View Columbus Metro map

Delaware
|
|
|
A small bedroom community to the north of Columbus. The tremendous growth in southern Delaware County is fast closing the 12-mile gap between Worthington and Delaware. Delaware is home to Ohio Wesleyan University and the Little Brown Jug (a pacers horse race).

|
Dublin
|
|
|
A suburb to the northwest of Columbus, located in the NW portion of Franklin County, SW corner of Delaware County, and the SE corner of Union County. There are two prestigious golf communities: Muirfield, built by Jack Nicolas, and Tartan Fields, built by Arnold Palmer. View Dublin area map

Hilliard
|
|
|
A suburb to the west of Columbus and west of Upper Arlington, but still located in Franklin County. Its location just outside the I-270 outerbelt and proximity to I-70 provides easy access to downtown Columbus. View Hilliard area map

Marysville
|
|
|
A bedroom city about 15 minutes northwest of Dublin and located in Union County. Best known for its two major companies - Honda of America and Scotts-Miracle Gro lawn & garden products. Rt 33 provides easy 4-lane access to this city.

New Albany
|
|
|
A suburb to the northeast of Columbus, noted for its very upscale, unique Georgian brick housing. The city was transformed from a small rural crossroads to an architecturally-controlled suburb by Les Wexner, owner of Limited Brands. View New Albany area map

Powell
|
|
|
A small community in southwest Delaware County best known for its antique shops. The area surrounding this upscale community is growing rapidly with many new housing developments. There are two golf course communities nearby: Wedgewood, located to the west; and Golf Village to the north. View Powell area map

Upper Arlington
|
|
|
A city on the western borders of Columbus in Franklin County, just west of Ohio State University. Arlington is know for its large, stately old homes and tree-lined streets. It's home to the Scioto golf course, known to have a long waiting list for membership.

Westerville
|
|
|
A suburb to the northeast of Columbus, but west of New Albany. Portions are located in both Franklin County and Delaware County. View Westerville area map

Worthington
|
|
|
A city to the north of Columbus, but within Franklin County. Like Arlington, it's an old city known for grand architecture plus, it has a Village Green with quaint shops. Located just south of I-270 outerbelt and just east of Rt 315, its location makes it a favorite to easily access the freeway system around Columbus. View Worthington area map
